FEA engineering services are provided for skid developers, using a variety of FEA software like ANSYS, OPTISTRUCT & RADIOSS. Results postprocessing is done using HyperView.

To achieve the same, skid strength evaluation is done for different loading conditions as below:
- Static Loads: Permanent weight of the equipment, axillaries & self-weight of the skid
- Dynamic Loads: Wave accelerations, handling/ lifting & transportation loads
- Environmental Loads: Wind, seismic, Ice and other environmental conditions
Skid design modifications suggested for compliance with code for critical loading conditions like lug lifting & buckling condition. Code compliance check (like, Deflection & maximum stress below allowable/ material yield stress limit) done against relevant standards.
Optimization of the skid design is done as needed by adding stiffeners to reduce stress concentration, additional cross supports to reduce deflection level and using higher grade material.
